The 2013 World Championships are going down this weekend in Pietermaritzburg South Africa and America's Mitch Ropelato took out the second fastest qualifying time just behind the fastest man on a bike right now - Steve Smith. The big story is how fast the track is, and the variety of tire sizes being run. Ropelato ran on an Enduro 29er, Smith on a 650B DH Rig and everyone else mixing it up. Jared Graves is even running his Enduro bike. The track seems to be lacking any real technical steep sections and has become quite a discussion point among racers. Is DH turning into a pedal fest?
