Every year in Whistler, one of the most sought after tickets is for the Deep Photo Challenge. A competition among action sports photographers to see who can come up with the best photo essay during a three day all out photo fest. The photographers and their assistants and riding crew need to find unique locations and angles to shot, get them edited to some music theme and output in a very timely fashion. In Essence, they need to have their shit together and be rad. A themed essay usually helps tell the story but having a quick eye, rad riders and passion for flair doesn't hurt either.
This year a guy named Ale DiLullo took home the top honors among the select competitors. Judging is never easy because after all, it is art and that is completely subjective.
