SIDI Comes Back Bigger and Better with New Products and New Distributor

When it comes to action sports footwear, there are few brands that can match the proven quality of the 50 year old Italian Shoe company SIDI. From its humble beginnings in mountain footwear then on to cycling and on and off-road motorcycle boots, SIDI has built itself into one of the most recognizable and quality brands in the two wheeled world.

After working though difficulties policing internet pricing from overseas, SIDI stayed committed to protecting the IBD margins and got it fixed. The first step of that solution was finding the right distributor. One who knew they had to carry inventory to fulfill orders here in the states and who know how to service bike dealers. In 2014 Ciclista America filled that role perfectly. Having proven themselves as motorcycle boot distribution partner for SIDI in previous years, they took on the bicycle line and hit the gas. Stocking a full line of product promoting the new and exciting line-up from
SIDI.

The Second Step

With order fulfillment and distribution in place - having relevant product was all that was necessary to restart the brand and get long time customers excited again. In typical Italian style and 40+ years of technical innovation, SIDI has introduced an enduro specific shoe into the market with the “Epic”.

Simple and functional in the lace department the EPIC is built to breath and last with its application of synthetic leather and mesh materials. If you have to get off the bike and hike, the all-weather sole should provide you with just enough flex and enough grip to make your non-pedally sections less torturous. Judging by these photos you can see traces of SIDI's boot history in the lugs. The Epics are designed for clipless riding but can also be ridden with flat pedals.  (Note: these have not been tested by Bicycle World TV).  The EPIC comes in both Grey and Black.

SIDI continues to innovation through their entire line of Road, MTB and Triathalon shoes and has Women’s shoes as well.

One stand out feature of buying Italian shoes is the design. SIDI Shoes ooze style and while not the cheapest shoe on the planet, their quality has never been questioned. If you put time in on a bike, the shoe contact point is not one you really want to skimp on.
