Rebecca Rush True Adventurer Rides Kilamanjaro

Walking the Walk and Living the Talk, Rebecca Rush is a true adventurer.

I dont know Rebecca very well having only crossed paths with her at La Ruta one year, but my brief encounter with her was all it took to tell me that the bicycle industry was lucky to have her as an ambassador.

Not becuase of her world championships, but because of her deep understanding of the balance of life. She loves riding her bike and while it affords here to chase her dreams of adventure, it doesnt define who she is. And that is an adventurer, displayed in this challenge of riding Kilamanjaro.  This was no media stunt with no added "DRAMA" . Rebecca along with Patrick Sweeney, didn't helicopter up and then joyride down.

They hiked to 19,300 ft, with their bikes on their back (for the last 50 miles) to make the descent. You could say they earned their turns. Most people could not even hike to that altitude without bikes.

Benefiting the World Bicycle Relief organization. The challenge did more than check a box off for Rebecca, it put more bikes into the hands of locals - giving them the very same gift of freedom and possibilityl that hooked us all at one time in our lives.

Watch the video, enjoy it, and start following Rebecca. She is a true inspirational person.
