Pro GRT Wrap up Round 6 at Tahoe

August 29th, 2011 4:26pm

After a season of new schedules and mother nature forcing last minute changes, this years finale for the PRO GRT series went down at Northstar ski resort in Lake Tahoe, CA this past weekend.

Coming off a successful CrankWorks Colorado event, team KHS once again went fast and put boys on the podium. Logan Bingelli took the win and the first place paycheck being the only competitor to go under four minutes on his race run. His KHS team mate Kevin Aiello continued to keep his speed for a solid fourth place result.  JDD /One Racing's Cody Warren took second, Curtis Keene and Brad Benedict of Specialized - went third and fifth respectively.

The women's field was won by Northwest shredder Katie Holden with Darian Harvey of Vixen's racing second and Mary Moncorge taking third.

Series Champion titles and congratulations for the 2011 overall go to Cody Warren (DRD X-Fusion Intense) and Jill Kintner (Transition Racing). Kitner was not on hand for the this race as she is preparing for the world championships in Europe. Kitner locked down the title by the fourth round of the season by winning the first four rounds.

Jr. Men - Austin Warren (younger brother of Cody) won the Jr. Mens race by a comfortable 8 second margin over another fast up and comer Cody Kelly. It was not such a huge suprise to see Austin win having competed in several world cup races this year and scoring an exceptionally strong result at Windham.
