New X-Fusion offering to 27.5 Market

I love to see a good fight. Especially when it's a David vs Goliath and the winner means better suspension for all of us. This past week a the Sea Otter, X-Fusion, who has been making quite a noise in the past couple of years announced their new 27.5 Trail/Enduro Fork. X-Fusion is calling the new Sweep an early 2014 release which means mid June while riding is still awesome for whole country right up to Alaska! Since we haven't yet ridden one, we can't give you a review, but from the buzz so far about the entire fork line-up and the fact that their top marketing man is serious pro racer himself, bodes extremely well for the brand and ultimately us riders. Even the $599 MSRP is a solid deal.

If you are still wondering if these guys know what they are doing, the fork uses 34mm stanchions and provides adjustable travel options depending on the model you want. According to the specs, it has all the trappings of the perfect Enduro fork.

XF Launches 27.5inch Specific Trail/Enduro Fork

The Sweep is the latest addition to X-Fusion's 34mm line of forks. Joining the Slant (26inch) and the Trace (29inch), the Sweep is a dedicated 27.5inch wheel fork. What sets it apart from other forks as a dedicated 27.5inch fork is the offset. It's 46mm offset provides precise, yet smooth handling characteristics matching the trail found on the 26inch and 29inch forks. Inside the Sweep is the highly accredited RL2 damper system with Mid-Valve technology. This damping system gives the rider rebound adjustment with an on-the-fly lockout lever. Helping control the fork when the terrain gets rough is X-Fusion's secondary compression circuit, the Mid-Valve. On top of the chassis and high-quality sealed damping system, the Sweep is also first to see X-Fusion's Nvolve custom seals. Nvolve seals improve the seal life and reduce the friction and breakaway force by up to 150% over custom stanchion tube coatings found on the market.

The Sweep is set to deliver the industry leading performance and quality riders have come to expect from X-Fusion. It will be an early 2014 model year release and available for purchase in June 2013.
