Mega Avalanche - Full Run Video

Anyone in the mountain bike world knows about the Mega Avalanche. Its been chronicled in every magazine and most web sites at different times. But I never got the feel for the race until I watched this video. Posted by Australian Ben Watkins, this video is pretty much his RAW run footage with only some of the more boring bits edited out. Although 43 minutes long, I watched every minute of it. The video grabs from the very start of the race where you get to see how steep and slippery the top of Alps D'Huez really is.

From there you get to see how technical the exposed rock section are and how crowded the trail is for the first 30 minutes of racing.  With all the rocks you get technical challenges and Ben certainly has his. But not until after his face plant in the snow. So before I tell you about all the juicy bits, grab yourself a snack and drink and watch Ben's great experience on the French Alps. Thanks for posting this Ben.
