Its not often we pass along company promotional videos. But when one comes along that we think is solid, we like to share it. Such is the case with the Behind the Scenes wheel testing with Jerome Clementz as he samples all three of SRAM's new enduro offerings.
This video struck a chord with us because the test makes sense. We know that Jerome is sponsored by SRAM so we arent drinking the cool aid just yet, (note: we haven't tried any SRAM wheels) but you have to respect Jeromes ability. The other piece in this equation is a guy named Jon Chancellier. Besides having possible the best job on the planet - Jon has been leading the SRAM Black Box program for seven years. Black Box is the name of the division SRAM uses to develop and race test their new ideas on world caliber riders - just like Jerome. Jon is as legit at what he does as the riiders are and we have the utmost resect for him and his work.
This testing is for Jerome to get used to the SRAM Roam and Rail wheels, their capabilities and characteristics, In the process, he gives SRAM direct and immediate feedback on what he likes and doesn't like. Hopefully, SRAM takes this feedback, modifies the wheels and ultimately gives us mere mortals the best possible wheel for our money.
So if you wanted to see what a day is kind of like testing products and what the leader of the Black Box program does..click on. Its a good job, if you can get it. :-)
