Well, I don't want to down play the rad raing that went down this last weekend between Aaron Gwin and Kevin Aiello. Especially when you'r talking about a 4 minute run separated by one pedal stroke. But in writing up the event, i found this brand new video just posted about the race. Now, I'm kinda over most videos these days because they mostly look the same and are shot in the same places. So when I saw this little edit of Mike Sylvestri by Kent Johnson over at NorCal Productions at this weeks Nevada State Champs at Bootleg I was impressed.
First, I have never raced Bootleg and hear so much about it being only 5 hours drive north from our secret headquarters so I wanted to see the course.
Second, Mike Sylvestri is a very talented rider and still hasn't found his full speed potential.
Third The video is pretty much a full run from top to bottom of the course. The boys over at NorCal did a solid job not bogging the video down with too many super slo mo shots or too many funky post production tricks. Just a nice solid video showing the nasty rock at Bootleg and the high speed bumps that pros like Mike style out. Great job boys.
All class results from All races including the Downhill, Super D and Chainless DH from this past weekends race at Bootleg Canyon are below the video.
MIke Sylvestri airs it out over one of the rock waterfalls. These rocks are tire splitting, shin breakers. Not the place to go down.
Sylvestri won the Chainless downhill
