Ex Niner Founder Starts New Bike Company
Steve Domahidy - Co-founder of Niner bikes and bike designer has taken on a new company bearing his name on the frame. Domahidy is launching the company with a Kickstart campaign.
While Domahidy admits the industry doesn't need another hard tail 29er, Domahidy isn't doing it from a marketer point of view, he is doing it from his love for riding fun bikes. Given the fact that Domahidy is repsonsible for designing virtually every Niner Bike ever made including the 2014 models - his credentials more than speak for themselves. Having build the brand with his partner into a formidable powerhouse and torch bearer for 29" wheels and owning several suspension patents it would not be unreasonable to say that his new bikes would ride great.
From materials that he designed with Reynolds for the Niner bike line up to the right geometry - the bikes will surely be a hit.
I like it because the craftsmanship is just oozing out of the photos and he is doing it for all the right reasons. Domahidy revealed he already has several new suspension platforms in the patent office just waiting for the company to officially kick off. Again, Steve knows his stuff and he has our interest.
The bikes look great and we hope to be able to report on the ride as soon as our number is called.
If you would like to own a limited edition of the bike or donate to his start up fund you can find that information at kickstarter.
