European Cycling Fesitival - the ultimate vacation?

Europe rolls out multi-disciplined cycling event for amateur racing around the world famous Imola race course.

What do you get if you put on a bike event, hosted it at one of the Worlds most famous race tracks, in one of the most beautiful locations and mix in 10,000 additional cycling fanatics racing everything from Road racing, time trials, gravity and MTB events? If it's held in America you get the Sea Otter Classic. If it's in Europe you get the "Over the Hill" - a new multi-day cycling event held at the world famous Imola Race track.

The event promises to feature every type of riding event and competition including some that are popular in Europe like Flat land riding comps and Dirt Jumping. Over the Hills will also have bike demo's, expo village, food area and and the European style kids play area.

Over the Hills will held from April 25-27th and while I have never been lucky enough to get to Italy, I don't think the weather would ever be bad there and the organizers would naturally pick the best time of year to host the event. From the looks of it, there is ample room for everyone including great camping areas -which would be my choice so I could visit with the local Europeans and learn something about their culture (read beer & wine). If you do camp, don't do the cheap traveler thing and show up empty handed. Bring some libations or Betty Crocker Brownies - it helps makes friends and is good PR (we could use some).

Enough of my rambling,
go to the web site for yourself and Make your reservations to get on over to Italy for this inaugural event. Oh yeah, don't forget your bike.
