Last year was the first official year of the Enduro World Series and it seems like SRAM, whose riders dominated the scene winning 6 of the 7 races is on top of the sport. From their PIKE forks to there 2x10 and XX1 drivetrains, they seemed to have it dialed in.
If this was NASCAR and the old saying of win on Sunday - sell on Monday applied, SRAM would be killing it every Monday. In what is quickly becoming one of the most progressive and interesting forms of mountain biking, enduro racing has become an essential part in the development of a new generation of components. It's essential because it requires components that are light weight, durable and provide flawless performance during long and hard races. More importantly is the fact that it is these very type of components that everyday riders want and need to make them faster and make the ride more enjoyable.
So while this video is produced by SRAM to highlight their riders, you can't ignore the fact that these riders were wildly successful in dominating the sport this last year and they did it all on SRAM Products.
I have had limited experience using SRAM products personally, but what I have had has been pretty darn positive with great customer service. All this winning on weekends has me thinking that I need to look at their components and suspension parts more seriously for 2014. Maybe you should too.
So ponder this pretty cool video of SRAM enduro racers Jerome Clementz, Nicolas Vouilloz, Rene Widlhaber, Curtis Keene, Anka Martin and many more as film maker Victor Lucas documented them taking on rounds 2 and 3 of the 2013 Enduro World Series in Val d'Allos and Les Deux Alpes, France. Its pretty cool to see some of the courses.
Then go out and ride!
Enjoy
