I have always had a bit of a sweet spot for Cannondale. I remember putting down my hard earned cash on a my very first mountain bike - A Jekyl. It served me more than well. It was my vehicle into a new sport that would dominate my life from that point forward. One thing I always remember about Cannondale is how perfect they fit. In all my time riding and or testing product nothing has matched the out of the box fit as a Cannondale. Maybe it's their American made roots shining through or just the fact that they always tried to do things different, but the results have always been great.
Let me get off the nastalgiac soap box and report whats going on with new stuff. Cannondale, just announced their North American OverMountain team and that they will be racing on the all-new SuperMax suspension fork for the 2014 season and beyond. Yes it is a LEFTY. Team will be debuting the SuperMax in the Enduro World Series by team riders Mark Weir, Ben Cruz, Jason Moeschler and team newcomer Marco Osborne.
Now I do know Mr. Weir and Moeschler fairly well and can vouch for their radness and ridiculous abilities on a bike. As for Ben Cruz, well, if half of what I read and hear is true, then he is "THE MAN" and for Marco Osborne? Well he has probably been pre-approved by Weir and Moeschler for his ability to ride and take relentless teasing. So we wish him and the rest of the team all the best.
Here are a couple of great photos shared by Team Cannondale showing off the goods and get your juices flowing. Can't wait till the season begins! As always, if you're in the market for the a Cannondale, get on over to a dealer and be sure you tell them you read about it on Bicycle World TV!.
