When was the last time someone brought you something Made in America, for bikes, that you could be proud of? Well we learned of this little saddle shop called Selle Anatomica in Madison Wisconsin that is my new favorite company. The video, which isn't high dollar, made my chest puff out a little farther, hold my head a little higher and give me glimmer of hope that not all is lost in this country. I may have even shed a tear or two when I heard the names of the employees that - get this - actually touch the product while in process. OMG.
While I fully intend on testing one of these seats out at any cost, I liked the thinking behind the moving parts of the seat. Selle Anatomica claims its the most comfortable bicycle seat in the world. A bold claim. But if they are only half right, it will be better than most saddles out there.
It may not be the fourth of July, but it sure feels like it today and I for that I salute.
