ARizona debuts NEW race Venue this weekend at Lake Havasu

The Mountain Bike Association of Arizona is breaking out a new venue this year as it continues to expand the sport here in the desert. This weekend the Arizona points series race heads to Lake Havasu where the course will take riders up climbs and bring them back down to the waters edge on multiple occassions.

It is difficult to open up new trails to riding and especially racing, so Kudos has to go out to the MBAA board and the city of Lake Havasu for having some balls to see the positive economic impact the sport plays on host cities. Sure some details are being finalized this week, but this is mountain bike racing so just enjoy the weather and FRESH trail. This course is probably closer to Southern California riders than most of their series races so come on out and throw down with your neighbors to the east.

As always, the race is open to any rider - whether they are contesting for points in the series or not.

The maps for the course, entry information, hotel links, camping info is all here - mbaa.net/
