The 2010 World Championships concluded this week with suprises in almost every category of racing. From downhill to mountain cross and cross country, there were unexpected winners and an appreciative canadian crowd on hand. Sam Hill shocked the field with his return to the top step after a injury plagued season, while Canadian Steve Smith had the ride of his life to finish second. Smith would have probably won the title had he not bobbled on the bottom section after nearly going down. Greg Minnaar took the final step on the podium after being the season long leader in the World cup standings until the final races where he was overtaken by Gee Atherton.
