Bicycle World Secret Test Loop - Video

December 1st, 2010 4:17pm

When testing bikes, tires or any cycling specific item, you need to have that one consistent trail to make direct comparisons on. Here is one of our secret test loops. Its got some loose technical climbing and most every type of terrain imaginable from buffed sections, gnarly rock, loose rocks and gravel on top of hard pack. (sure it's missing roots, but this is the desert) 100% single track, this trail ends with a slightly descending slice of heaven. 1.5 miles of super tight - twisties and undulating trail.

With everything covered in rock and cactus this trail will test any tire if you push it. Go down and there will be blood. We time trial on the end section to push the tires, suspension set ups and the sides of our mouth, up. This section of trail matches most DH runs I have done for pure fun. It may be missing the big air, but push yourself and see how comfortable you are without dawning all the protective gear. Ride it nice and slow and it is just another trail.
